Ms. Vicknair is serving on the Texas Bar Foundation New Fellows Nominating Committee as Chair for District 11, 2011-2017. She is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.
She was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1991. She was subsequently admitted to practice before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas. Her professional memberships include the Corpus Christi Bar Association, the Corpus Christi Young Lawyers Association and the Coastal Bend Women Lawyers Association. She is a former president for all three organizations.

Prior to establishing her private practice in 2005, Ms. Vicknair was a partner in the Appellate/Trial Section of Bracewell, L.L.P. and an associate in the Appellate Section of Chaves, Gonzales & Hoblit, LLP working with the Hon. Paul W. Nye, Chief Justice (ret.) 13th Court of Appeals. She has also worked as a Nueces County prosecutor and as a briefing attorney for the 13th Court of Appeals.
